Nine years ago today I was awarded the Dick Wright Inspirational Award by the Spokane Sports Comission at their annual banquet! This is the recognition that started my journey of inspiring young athletes!! Who would have known that nine years later it would lead me to the upcoming Women’s Final Four in New Orleans! It has been an absolute honor to share my story of overcoming cancer with countless basketball, baseball, football, volleyball, soccer, hockey, and golf teams! I have cherished each and every opportunity!!
Thank you to the Whitworth University Women’s Basketball team for inviting me to their Breast Cancer Awareness Pink game tonight! I am honored to have been invited into their sacred pre game prep to share some inspiration!! What a special way to celebrate Valentines Day surrounded by all of this support for the cause!! Go Pirates!!!

Everything about being the Honorary Coach for Santa Clara University’s Pink Game yesterday was very emotional, but when I walked out of the locker room and saw my name on the players “I Wear Pink For” cards sitting on their chairs it took my breath away!!! I am blessed to be continuing to inspire young student athletes!
What an incredible experience to be the honorary coach for the Santa Clara University Breast Cancer Awareness Pink game today in sunny California! It was a special moment to present the game ball to the officials to start the game and to have the players honor me with cards! Thank you Santa Clara for supporting the cause and for inviting me down here to be a part of this very special day!!

What an incredible honor to be invited by Coach Loree Payne into Northern Arizona University’s sacred practice to meet her team!!! They have their annual Breast Cancer Awareness game in two weeks at home in Flagstaff and I shared some inspiration with them while they are up here in the northwest for a game! What a great team of amazing young ladies! Go Jacks!!!
And the month of February begins with the NCAA partnering with women’s basketball to host their annual Play 4 Kay Breast Cancer Awareness games! I am honored to be participating with several programs this month to bring awareness and inspire! My road to the Final Four in New Orleans continues.....
Great 6 hour hike into this beautiful remote canyon outside of Tucson with several water crossings! If I can continue to challenge myself like this, then I am going to be alright leaving marathon finish lines behind me!! Loving the warm weather down here in Arizona for a few days!!!
I am honored beyond belief to be one of the 1200 volunteers chosen nationwide to place a single rose on each of the 230,000 headstones at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington DC on Memorial Day weekend! It will be an absolute honor to travel to our Nations Capital to participate in this sacred remembrance!!
What a special moment to be asked to present the check from my Aiming for the Cure event in October to Dr Stephanie Moline and the Cancer Care Northwest Foundation! It is always an honor to support my cancer treatment center and stand beside this women who saved my life!!
