New York City Marathon
I am excited to announce that I will be featured on the NBC Sports live coverage during the New York City Marathon on Sunday! My human interest story will run on NBC4 New York! I am looking forward to my 245th marathon and my 1 year anniversary as a breast cancer survivor!

Rock N Roll Denver Marathon
Finished my 244th marathon on Sunday at the new Rock N Roll Denver Marathon. Ran 5 hrs 58 mins, my fastest marathon in over a year! Kicking breast cancer to the ground!

Portland Marathon
Finished my 243rd marathon at the Portland Marathon yesterday. Poured rain the entire 26.2 miles, but enjoyed every minute of being cancer free! The new Rock N Roll Denver Marathon is this weekend, then the New York City Marathon on November 7th!

I was honored at the WNBA Seattle Storm game on Thursday night as a breast cancer survivor. Met the CEO of the Storm and she gave me this awesome pink basketball! It was breast cancer awareness night at key Arena.

Seattle Rock N Roll Marathon

Race for the Cure
The Race for the Cure on Sunday was a wonderful and magical day! I wore my pink survivor gear proudly. It was very fun to be on Cancer Care Northwest Team, Pink Power! I saw my cancer surgeon and her nurse Mischa at the event and I feel this made my breast cancer journey complete.

Yakima River Canyon Marathon
I finished the Yakima River Canyon Marathon yesterday, my 236th overall marathon finish! It was very cold at the start in the canyon, 28 degrees, Burrrr!!!!! Then the sun came out and it was 50 degrees by finish time! I ran with a great guy named Steve from start to finish who was running his 36th marathon, nice guy from Florida. I think he was freezing! Had a great welcome home at the finish and cried like a baby again, Being a breast cancer survivor has made me emotional at the finishline!

Yakima River Canyon Marathon
I am excited for my 236th marathon this weekend at the Yakima River Canyon Marathon here in Washington State! I have done this marathon several times and it is really a beautiful coarse! It is a Saturday marathon, so I will have Sunday to recover before heading back to work on Monday, and one of the only marathons I don"t fly too! So no air travel this weekend!

Susan G Komen and Rock N Roll Dallas
My speaking engagement at the Rock N Roll Dallas Half Marathon went great. I received a standing ovation when I was introduced and another standing ovation when I finished! I made them all laugh and cry! It was a very inspiring night! My race went well yesterday as well, This is a really nice new event and hope to return next year.

Spring has sprung in Spokane!!!!!!
It is spring weather here in Spokane this week. Ran a killer 8 mile hilly run south of Spokane on Thursday after work and it was wonderful! It is an area called Regal Road that is out in the country and one hill after another. Had a great 5 miler this morning. Two weeks until the Rock N Roll Dallas Half Marathon where i am one of the keynote speakers at the pasta party. Got my speech all approved from the main Komen office in Dallas and ready to present. Everyone have a great week and enjoy life!!!!

Saucony @ Cross Country Championships
It was an honor to have the USA cross country championships here in Spokane yesterday! Two of Saucony's elite women, Molly Huddle and Magda Lewy placed 2nd and 4th. It was a blast to witness these women running! I saw alot of running friends and it was a beautiful day, 50 degrees and sunny, spring like weather!

Weekend Running
Had a great 8 mile run today. Beautiful in Spokane today. Went to the ER yesterday, slammed my finger in my truck door, x-ray showed no broken bones, just a swollen, cut finger! It feels great today. After what i went through the last 3 months, this is nothing. Everyone get outside and get active this weekend.

My Finisher Medal to Cancer Care Northwest
I presented my finisher medal from PF Changs Rock N Roll Marathon to my cancer surgeon yesterday in a wonderfully planned out presentation. Dr Moline was really honored and had no idea what we had planned. All of my wonderful new friends at Cancer Care northwest were there in attendance for this special moment. Thank you to everyone at Cancer Care Northwest for making me cancer free and back to my love of running marathons! I will forever be grateful!

Meet with the local chapter of the American Cancer Society to get involved with the Relay for Life here in Spokane. Going to do my best to drum up some new teams to fundraise. I am planning on running 30 miles at the Spokane Falls Relay for Life in June. Yes, 120 laps around that track. Another celebration of being cancer free!

Icy running
It is a solid sheet of ice here in Spokane this morning. Tried to drive down off the hill to meet some friends to run at Manito Park and had to get myself out of the ditch and head back home because it was so slick! I will do my running on the treadmill today. Excited for my marathon next weekend in Phoenix.
